Storytimes 9/24 & 9/26/2008

For this week's storytimes we read:

* The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle

*"Humpty Dumpty"
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

We sang:
* "The Noble Duke of York"

Oh, the noble Duke of York
He had 10 thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
Then he marched them down again
And when they were up, they were up
And when they were down, they were down
And when they were only half-way up
They were neither up nor down

* Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

* Pat-a-Cake
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man.
Bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Pat it and roll it and mark it with "B"
And put it in the oven for Baby and me.

We acted out:

*Hickory Dickory Dock

(To play along at home, walk your fingers up and down your child's arm as you recite)

The mouse ran up the clock
The clock struck one
The mouse ran down
Hickory Dickory Dock
